1. Who we are

CCormier Inc. (“we,” “us” or “our”) provides digital flipbook menus for restaurants and other hospitality businesses. We are located at 231 Conant Rd, Fort Fairfield, Maine 04742, and can be reached at menus@ccormierinc.com or (207) 472-3464.

For the purposes of applicable data-protection law, CCormier Inc. is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

2. Scope

This policy covers information handled when you:

  • Visit or browse this website (ccormierinc.com).
  • Email us, ask for a quote or otherwise contact us.
  • Engage us to build, publish or maintain a flipbook menu.
  • Open a flipbook we have published for one of our clients.

It does not cover the websites, ordering systems or social accounts of our clients or of anyone else we link to. When you scan a QR code in a restaurant, you may also be using your phone maker’s camera app and your mobile browser, which have their own privacy practices.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you contact us or become a client, we may collect:

  • Your name and the name of your business.
  • Your email address and any phone number or mailing address you provide.
  • Details about your project — your menu, prices, branding and preferences.
  • Billing information and records of payments.
  • Anything else you choose to include in a message to us.

Our contact form does not send anything to our server. It simply opens your own email program with a message already filled in. The only copy of that message that we receive is the email itself.

Information collected automatically

Like most web servers, the infrastructure that delivers this site keeps technical logs. These typically include your IP address, browser type, device type, the page you requested, the referring page and a timestamp. This information is used for security, reliability and troubleshooting.

We do not use this information to build profiles of visitors, and we do not combine it with advertising data.

Client menu content

The flipbooks we publish for our clients are intended to be public — they are menus, meant to be read by guests. They may contain a business name, location, prices and photographs. They should not contain personal information about individual customers, and we ask our clients not to send us any.

4. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to enquiries and prepare quotes.
  • Build, publish, host and update flipbook menus.
  • Communicate about projects, approvals and changes.
  • Invoice for our work and keep our accounting records.
  • Keep our website and hosting secure and working properly.
  • Meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
  • Defend or establish legal claims if needed.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

5. Legal bases

If you are in the United Kingdom, European Economic Area or another region that requires a legal basis, we rely on the following:

  • Contract — to take steps at your request and perform the work you have engaged us to do.
  • Legitimate interests — to run and secure our business, respond to enquiries and improve our service, in ways that do not override your rights.
  • Consent — where the law requires it, and where you can withdraw that consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation — to keep records and comply with the law.

6. Cookies & analytics

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics, heatmaps or session recording.

The site works entirely without logging you in, so we do not need to store account preferences. If we ever add analytics or other tools that store information on your device, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent first.

You can also limit or clear cookies through your browser settings at any time.

7. Third-party services

We rely on a small number of third parties to deliver this website and our service. When you use the site, some technical information may pass through them.

  • Hosting and delivery. Traffic to this website and to published flipbooks passes through a reverse proxy at RackNerd, and the site is hosted and maintained by Alexander Wasson (alexanderwasson.dev). These providers may process IP addresses and server logs to deliver the site and keep it secure.
  • Web fonts. This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). When your browser requests those files, Google receives technical information such as your IP address. If you prefer not to make that request, you can block web fonts in your browser and the site will still work, using your system fonts.
  • Maps links. Where we link to a map of our address, that link opens Google Maps in a new tab. Nothing is sent to Google unless you click it.
  • Email. When you email us, your message is handled by our email provider and may be stored on their systems and ours.
  • Flipbook viewer. Published menus use flipbook viewer software that is served from the same host as the menu itself. It runs in your browser and does not require an account or an app install.

8. When we share information

We share personal information only as needed, and only with:

  • Service providers who help us host, deliver, publish, bill or communicate — under contracts that limit how they may use it.
  • Professional advisers such as an accountant, lawyer or insurer, where necessary.
  • Authorities when we are legally required to, or to protect rights, safety and security.
  • A successor to our business in the event of a sale, merger or reorganisation, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not share client project material with other clients, and we do not sell or rent any personal information to anyone.

9. How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here, or as the law requires. In general:

  • Enquiries that do not become projects are usually removed within 12 months.
  • Client project files are kept for the life of the project and a reasonable period afterwards, so we can update the menu and support you.
  • Invoices and accounting records are kept for the period required by tax and business law — commonly seven years.
  • Server logs are kept for a relatively short period and are used for security and troubleshooting.
  • Published flipbooks remain public until we are asked to remove them or the engagement ends and the removal period in our Terms of Service has passed.

10. How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to a business of our size — including access controls, transport encryption (HTTPS), reputable hosting and limited access to client material.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

11. Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Ask what information we hold about you and request a copy of it.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.
  • Ask us to restrict or object to how we use your information.
  • Ask for a portable copy of information you gave us.
  • Withdraw consent where our use is based on consent.
  • Opt out of any marketing message at any time.
  • Complain to your local data-protection authority.

California residents may also have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, delete and correct personal information and the right to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

To exercise any of these rights, email menus@ccormierinc.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we aim to respond within 30 days.

12. Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control

Because we do not track visitors across other websites for advertising, there is nothing to switch off. We do honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by law by treating them as an opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information.

13. Children’s privacy

Our website and service are aimed at businesses and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

14. International visitors

We are based in the United States and our hosting is in the United States. If you visit this site from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. By using the site, you understand this.

15. Third-party links

This site links to other websites — for example a map, a social profile or a client’s own site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Please review their privacy policies before giving them information.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice — for example by a note on this website or by email.
